Introduction to MFA

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security measure implemented across all SponsorUnited user accounts to enhance protection. This guide walks you through setting up MFA, addresses common issues, and provides additional support resources.

MFA Settings

Upon becoming a SponsorUnited user, you will be automatically prompted to register your authentication method.

  • MFA Options: When logging in, users can choose to receive their MFA security pin via either their phone number or email address for receiving their MFA security pin. Using a phone number is recommended for faster delivery.

  • Remember Me Option: Selecting the “Remember Me” option before selecting their authentication method allows users to avoid re-authenticating for up to two weeks.

  • Device Login: Logging into a new device will automatically log you out from the previously used device.

  • Email Whitelisting: To ensure you receive important SponsorUnited emails, including your MFA pin and account updates, add customersuccess@sponsorunited.com and insights@sponsorunited.com to your email address book.

MFA FAQ

What if I want to disable MFA?

Due to our adherence to SOC2 compliance, MFA is mandatory for securing our and our customers’ data. Disabling this feature is not an option. However, using the “Remember Me” feature can minimize the frequency of entering your PIN.

What if my email pin does not arrive on time?

Your email server may be causing a delay. Try using the text option instead. If issues persist, please contact us for further assistance. If the problem persists, please reach out for support using the messenger on the bottom right corner of the login screen, or reach out to us at customersuccess@sponsorunited.com.
